Vietnam Vets Hold State Conference in Dearborn

The conference is open to all Vietnam veterans and their families.

The Vietnam Veterans of America State Council of Michigan, Inc. will host a Vietnam veterans conference July 12-14 at the Doubletree Hotel, 5801 Southfield Road, in Dearborn.

The conference will include veterans from Ilinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio, and is open to all Vietnam veterans and their spouses or surviving spouses. Participants will learn about problems associated with exposure to Agent Orange (herbicide dioxin) sprayed in Vietnam and the effects it brings. Participants can also learn about the benefits and advocacy of Vietnam Veterans of America.

The opening ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. on July 12. Saturday will consist of classes and a banquet in the evening with guest speaker Dr. D. S. Ping of Saline.
