Trash and recycling collection in Dearborn may be delayed an additional day this week due to severe weather conditions.
The city is asking residents to put out their trash and recycling carts one day after their normal pickup day, and leave the carts out until their home has been serviced.
It may take up to a couple of days for trash and recycling to be collected because of Sunday's heavy snowfall and the subsequent below-zero temperatures.
Carts should be placed on easements if possible. However, if snow is blocking the easement, residents should place carts at the bottom of their driveway, near the street.Due to the high volume of calls, residents are asked to refrain from contacting the city if their trash and recycling is not picked up just one day late.
If collection does not take place after a two-day delay and they are concerned, they can call (313) 943-2433.
