Beginning Tuesday, Dearborn children are invited to pick up free tickets to attend the Tigers Kids Rally at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Jan. 23, as part of the 2014 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan.

Free tickets can be picked up, while supplies last, at the Box Office at the Center, 15801 Michigan Ave. Box office hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Tickets are needed for admission to the free event. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. for the 4:30 to 6 p.m. program.

The Tigers Caravan event includes a visit by select Tigers players as they continue their tradition of traveling across the region to build pre-season baseball excitement with fans of all ages.

Additionally, there will be an interactive program featuring Detroit’s favorite mascot, PAWS, as well as a brief performance by Radio Disney inside the Michael A. Guido Theater at the Center.

The event will also have face painting, crafts and give-away items for children who attend. Every child will receive a Strike-Out Bullying wristband.

Refreshments will be available for purchase.

This marks the 12th anniversary of the Tigers Winter Caravan, which has logged more than 15,000 miles and made more than 350 stops since its first journey in 2003.

Dearborn is one stop along the Tigers Winter Caravan lineup of appearances on Jan. 23 and 24. Two buses and an additional dozen vehicles will travel through Detroit and around the state of Michigan.
