Dearborn Street Lights Up With Luminaries

Check out this tradition from Fairmount Drive in west Dearborn.

In a tradition that neighbors say dates back as far as the 1920s, residents of Dearborn's Fairmount Drive mark every holiday season by lighting up their winding road with luminaries.

Neighborhood children got together Sunday evening to help put together the white paper luminaries, and then set them out along the half-mile stretch of road, creating a west Dearborn winter wonderland.
