Parents Bring Gun Violence Prevention Rally to Dearborn

Area residents will rally at Lindbergh Elementary School to prevent gun violence on April 20.

Supporters of gun control legislation will rally at Lindbergh Elementary School in Dearborn on Saturday to encourage elected officials to pass stricter regulations on firearm sales in the United States.

The event will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and is open to the public.

“We have had several major massacres over the past few years and they increased in number in 2012. We’re holding this rally because it is extremely important that citizens have a means to receive information and learn what they can do to let their voices be heard, especially with both the national and state governments reviewing gun laws right now," organizer Sandy North said.
