Lebanese American Heritage Club Honors HYPE Athletics Founder

Ali Sayed will receive the YLC-LAHC's Young Professional Leadership Award at a special awards banquet June 28 in Dearborn.

The Youth Leadership Committee of the Lebanese American Heritage Club will host its annual awards ceremony at Byblos Banquets in Dearborn on Friday.

The awards ceremony will highlight the achievements of Ali Sayed, founder of HYPE Athletics, a recreational and community facility that provides a wide range of programs and services for the citizens of Wayne County. Sayed will receive the YLC-LAHC Young Professional Leadership Award for his community service.

"Ali Sayed’s commitment to engaging youth and creating viable programs for the greater community is an extraordinary story of hope, vision, and perseverance," Hussein Hachem, YLC chairman said.

Other guests of honor include Dearborn resident Hussain Hussain, and Chief Judge Sam Salamey, the first Arab American elected to the 19th District Court in Dearborn.

The highlight of the event will feature Lebanese-Canadian R&B singer Karl Wolf, who will perform some of his multi-platinum hits and receive the YLC-LAHC Young Professional Leadership Award for entertainment and entrepreneurship.

A talented songwriter, performer and producer, Wolf has recorded and released four albums globally and has sold out stadium shows across Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East.

"The YLC-LAHC anticipates a sold out event with an extraordinary and high profile program," Hachem said.

Tickets are $35 and can be ordered by calling 313-258-6799.
