'Hogs 4 Dogs' Fundraiser Nets $11,000 for Dearborn Animal Shelter

Motorcycle fans and pet lovers gathered at Silky's on Aug. 22 to benefit the Dearborn Animal Shelter.

On Aug. 22, dog lovers (and their pooches) converged at Silky’s Martini & Music Café in Dearborn for the 5th annual "Hogs 4 Dogs" benefit for the Friends for the Dearborn Animal Shelter.

The event was the most successful to date, raising more than $11,000 to help adoptable animals in the care of the shelter.

Organizers are already planning for the next "Hogs 4 Dogs" event, scheduled for Aug. 21, 2014.
