Henry Ford Historian to Speak at Dearborn Public Library Wednesday

Historian Mike Skinner will recount stories of the automobile mogul's life on July 10 at the Henry Ford Centennial Library.

The public will have an opportunity to brush-up on Henry Ford history when the Dearborn Library hosts a free program titled, “Henry Ford: His Life and Work” at 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 10 at Henry Ford Centennial Library.

Historian Mike Skinner is known locally as the ultimate "Fordophile." He is the past president of the Dearborn and Grosse Point Historical Societies, and the Henry Ford Heritage Association, of which he is a founding member.

Skinner worked as a tour guide for The Henry Ford Estate for 34 years, and served on the advisory committee that directed the project to transfer nine hours of Ford films, including some Ford family home movies, to an introductory video for tours and fundraising. He has presented dozens of programs relating to the life of Henry Ford.
