The $550 million winning Powerball numbers have been selected people all over Michigan are checking their tickets.

The winning Powerball numbers for the Nov. 28, 2012 drawing are 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 and a Powerball number of 6.

  • Dearborn Patch Facebook follower Claire-Marie Brisson said she hit the Powerball—but that's it. "I'll gladly take my $4," she wrote. "Doubled the value of the ticket at least."
  • Reader Chris Stone said two of his friends won $10,000 each. No word on whether Stone is getting a piece of that jackpot.
  • Dearborn Patch editor Jessica Carreras hit a few numbers on her lottery ticket—but not enough to win a prize.

In Michigan, a solo winner could expect to pay 4.35 percent in state taxes on the winnings. The annual payout after taxes would be $13,659,000; a lump sum payout would be $268,328,700.
