Dearborn Veterans Retire Tattered U.S. Flags in Annual Ceremony

Flag Day festivities were held at Ford Field Park on June 14.

The city of Dearborn, in conjunction with the Dearborn Allied War Veterans Council, held its annual Flag Day ceremony on Friday, June 14, at Ford Field Park.

The event honors the anniversary of the adoption of the American flag, and allows residents to witness a proper ceremonial disposal of flags that are no longer fit for public display.

Local veterans, Boy Scouts and Dearborn residents attended the ceremony.
