Dearborn Senior Health Expo Set for Oct. 24

Free health screenings, massages and preventive health care information will be available to seniors at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center.

Senior citizens, and those soon to be seniors, can attend a health and information expo from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center.

Presented by the Dearborn Recreation and Parks Department’s Senior Services Division, the free expo takes place in the Hubbard Ballroom and features more than 60 exhibitors.

Visitors will find activities and information of interest to anyone 45 and older, including free health screenings and free massages. Flu shots, which are covered by most insurance providers, will be available from Henry Ford Health System.

Representatives from Wayne County Veterans Services, The Senior Alliance, Wayne County Elder Law, and other organizations will offer information regarding health and wellness, police and fire safety, senior housing, caregivers, rehabilitation, banking, home healthcare, Alzheimer’s disease and city of Dearborn services.

Light refreshments will be provided by Henry Ford Village. Raffle drawings take place every 10 minutes.
