Dearborn's Dan Gheesling was awarded $50,000 and is the runner up of the CBS reality show Big Brother.
Gheesling previously won the game in 2008, and was brought back originally as part of a twist where he was a coach. The coaching status was later reset, and he became a full contestant competing for the grand prize.
Gheesling was brought to the final two in Thursday night's finale episode after houseguest Ian Terry won the final Head of Household, and Terry chose to evict houseguest Danielle Murphree.
The jury of seven previously evicted houseguests then voted for the winner, awarding Terry the win, 6-1. Terry was awarded a $500,000 grand prize.
Gheesling described his own gameplay this summer as being significantly more ruthless than when he first played and won the game in 2008, a sentiment that was openly concurred by evicted houseguests Shane Meaney and Frank Eudy.
Gheesling is an assistant coach at Orchard Lake St. Mary's.
