Dearborn Group Works to Clean, Keep City's Pools Alive

Save Our Pools was out on Saturday for another season of sprucing up what they consider to be one of Dearborn's greatest assets.

The Save Our Pools group gathered on Saturday morning to begin cleaning several of Dearborn's small pools.

More than just an effort to keep the city clean and beautiful, the group aims to show city officials how worthwhile the pools are–and how, by working together, the pools can be spared from the .

About 20 people ranging in age from 5 to older than 50 gathered to clean the pool, with another group working on 's pool. Together, they painted, swept, washed and planted in hopes to ensure that all of Dearborn's pools will stay open for many summers to come.
