The Dearborn Goodfellows kicked off their annual holiday newspaper sale Monday with a photo on the steps of Dearborn City Hall and luncheon.
The sale is held each year as a fundraiser for "No Child Without a Christmas"—an initiative to raise funds to buy toys and necessities for Dearborn children ages 11 and younger in need.
Goodfellows volunteers will be out around the streets of Dearborn on Friday, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1, selling papers to passers by.
Volunteers selling papers can pick them up at St. Martha’s Church, located at 18200 Oakwood (across from Oakwood Hospital), in the last two rooms at the back on the north side. Everyone will be able to enter at the back of the church and easily pick up the papers and return the money there.
Papers will be available on Thursday, Nov. 29, from 3-6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, from 7 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
