Dearborn Firefighters Fight For Air
Local firefighters climbed the steps of Detroit's Renaissance Center to raise money for the American Lung Association.
Dearborn firefighters took on 70 flights of stairs, wearing more than 50 pounds of gear, and all for one purpose: to help more people breathe easier.
The Fight for Air Climb took place Sunday at the Renaissance Center in Detroit. Firefighters and individuals from Dearborn and beyond took part in the walk, which raised funds for the American Lung Association.
As an added challenge, Dearborn firefighters did the climb while wearing their full gear.

Dearborn participants included firefighters Corey Silas, Wael Gharbie, Daniel Morse, Jeff Powell and Steve Worden.
The March 3 climb raised nearly $230,000 for the ALA. The Dearborn Firefighters team raised $350.
