Dearborn Animal Shelter Hosts Mutt Strut Makeup Day
Get rained out from attending the Mutt Strut last weekend? An impromptu third-day event will be held this Saturday in west Dearborn.
Last weekend’s Friends For the turned into more of a Mud Strut by Sunday, thanks to plenty of wet weather. That’s why with a forecast of sun and 70 degrees this Saturday, May 21, the shelter is hosting a third “makeup” day for dog lovers to strut through west Dearborn.
This sit-down (or strolling) Sunny Saturday in West Dearborn encourages shelter supporters to bring out their pups one last time 12-5 p.m. Saturday at West Village Commons.
Activities include a gallery opening at with the , with 10 percent off storewide for FFDAS customers; a dog-friendly patio near village eateries such as , and iBurger Lounge; plus a $6.99 special for all iBurger entrees and an entry to win a $50 gift certificate from Moose’s for any supporters who stop in and have raised $50 or more.

Any remaining Mutt Strut pledges will be accepted both at the Saturday event and online until May 31.
Visitors who raise $25 will receive a Mutt Strut bandanna, and those who raise $50 will receive the bandanna, T-shirt and a goody bag.
