Dangerous Wind Chills in the Forecast Again for Southeast Michigan

Michigan's miserable January continues with extremely cold wind chill values in the forecast through Friday.

Southeast Michigan is under a wind chill advisory tonight through Friday morning, with real-feel temperatures plunging to to -25 to -30, the National Weather Service in Detroit says.

Exposure to such bitterly cold temperatures can cause frostbite in a short period of time and prolonged exposure can lead to hypothermia. Be sure to dress appropriately, including wearing a hat and gloves, if you must venture out..

Some areas of the thumb region could receive an additional dusting of up to 2 inches of snow today due to lake effect snow.
