Michigan Business Connection Hires Irina Petcu as a Portfolio Manager, Notes Continued Strong Credit Union Loan Volumes

Citing credit union new loan volumes running stronger than at any other time since forming, Michigan Business Connection’s (MBC), President Bill Beardsley announced that Irina Petcu has joined the firm as a Portfolio Manager. When asked about Irina joining MBC Beardsley states, “Portfolio management is one of the most important things we do for credit unions. Irina brings a unique mix of expertise to MBC. The experience she gained working in a focused business finance company combined with her service in a large corporate environment provide a great foundation to step right into her role and assess and monitor borrower and portfolio risk for the credit unions we serve.” After graduating from the University of Michigan-Dearborn with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Minor in Economics in 2007 Petcu started her career as a Financial Analyst with TPI, Inc. Then, in 2008 she joined Greenfield Commercial Credit, an asset-based lender in Bloomfield Hills, MI as a Collateral & Loan Analyst, and in just four years was promoted to Operations Manager. Irina then returned to the University of Michigan-Dearborn and completed her MBA with a concentration in Finance in 2012 before joining the MBC team. Irina currently resides in Dearborn Heights, MI. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.
