National Read a Book Day: 5 New Releases in Dearborn

Here's a look at five new fiction books available to borrow at the Henry Ford Centennial Library.

Friday is National Read a Book Day. As such, today is all about relaxing with a good read. 

Here's a look at five new releases available at the Dearborn Public Library.

1. Killing Custer

Plot: When Colin Morningside, a descendant of Crazy Horse, is accused of murdering a General Custer impersonator, Father John O'Malley and Vicky Holden must find the truth, which leads them into a deadly conspiracy that neither of them could have foreseen.

2. If you could see what I see

Plot: Documentary film maker Meggie O'Rourke's life has collapsed. So she's going home to Oregon to work in the family's struggling lingerie business. Inspired by one relative's story about her pink push-up bra, Meggie decides to interview each of the women in her family about their lingerie for the lingerie business' website. She gets much more than she expected: stories of secret hopes, regrets, hilarity, heartache and joy. Through her family's stories, she begins to find clarity in her own life.

3. Bones of the Lost

Plot: The latest from Kathy Reichs finds Tempe Brennan investigating the connections between a long-dead business man, the smuggling of mummified dogs from Peru, and the death of a teenage girl killed in a hit and run. When she discovers a human trafficking enterprise at the center of it all, the scope of the case extends from South America to Afghanistan. And Tempe's soon-to-be ex might have connections that run to the very heart of the trafficking ring.

Plot: Investigating the senseless slaughter of five moose found on the estate of a wealthy animal rights activist, Game Warden Mike Bowditch finds the controversial case turning more sinister when the activist's daughter is killed in a suspicious accident, a situation that compels Bowditch to risk everything he cares about.
