Chief Administrative Officer Appointed at Oakwood Hospital

Executive brings passion for patient satisfaction, quality and safety to new role.

Jennifer Nycz has recently been appointed as Chief Administrative Officer of Oakwood Hospital & Medical Center in Dearborn. 

“At Oakwood, we are committed to providing high quality, compassionate care,” says Kelly C. Smith, Oakwood senior vice president and division president at Oakwood Hospital & Medical Center. “In her role, Jennifer will ensure our physicians, nurses, clinicians and staff work together effectively to serve our patients, families and communities. She will ensure that happens for every patient, every time.”

Before joining Oakwood, Nycz was senior director of clinical operations for Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care located in Madison Heights, MI. Prior to this, she served as director of clinical operations for Medical Surgical Nursing at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, as well as other leadership roles of increasing responsibility.

A resident of Brownstown, Nycz received her Masters of Science in Nursing in Health Systems Management from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Eastern Michigan University.

“It is an honor to be a part of the Oakwood team,” said Nycz. “Throughout my career, I have been passionate about patient satisfaction, quality, and safety. Ensuring our mission and vision are carried out is so important and being a support to patients and the staff that care for them is my main priority.”
