An Evening With Vietnam Veteran and Author John Craven

Come to the Henry Ford Centennial Library on Tuesday to hear Craven's in-depth account of life during the Vietnam War.

Vietnam veteran and author John Craven will present an inspiring lecture about the Vietnam War at the Henry Ford Centennial Library on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Craven will be sharing his personal accounts of the war, life after Vietnam, and his return trip to Vietnam in 2007 using captivating pictures in each facet of his presentation.

The event is free and open to the public. It starts at 7 p.m. this Tuesday and will be held in the library auditorium. Light refreshments will be served in the rotunda following the program.

During his tour with the U.S. Army, three platoon mates died in the same incident--a tragedy which he also describes in his book "A Legacy of Hope," according to the library's newsletter.

He currently works as the Chairman of the Development of Vietnam Endeavors (D.O.V.E.) Fund, a non-profit charity concentrating on projects that improve living conditions for the poorest areas of Vietnam.
