Distinguished violist and President of the Curtis Institute of Music Roberto Diaz will give a rare viola recital with pianist Gloria Chien as part of the Chamber Music Society of Detroit’s Signature Series on Saturday October 6, 2012 at 8:00 p.m.  The concert takes place at the Seligman Performing Arts Center, located at 22305 West 13 Mile Road (at the corner of Lahser and 13 Mile Roads), Beverly Hills, on the campus of Detroit Country Day School.  Tickets are $30 - $60; advance student tickets are available at half price; student rush tickets are $10. A pre-concert talk is open to ticket holders free of charge. Roberto Díaz will speak about his dual career as a violist and educator and about the storied Curtis Institute of Music with WRCJ host Chris Felcyn. The event includes a slide show presentation.
