The relationship be tween the King and Anna is marked by conflict through much of the play\, as well as by a love that neither is able to express.\n&ldquo\;The King and I&rdquo\; is the fifth musical by the team of Richard Rodgers and O scar Hammerstein II. It premiered on Broadway in 1951. \;\nThe music al is based on the 1944 novel &ldquo\;Anna and the King of Siam&rdquo\; by Margaret Landon and derives from the memoirs of Anna Leonowens\, who became governess to the children of King Mongkut of Siam in the early 18 60s.\nTicket prices are\, in advance: $8 students and senior citizens\; $10 general admission. At the door: $10 students and senior citizens\; $ 12 general admission.\nBox office hours are Monday-Friday\, 2:30-6 p.m. beginning April 23 for advance ticket sales. On Thursday and Friday\, Ma y 3 and 4\, the box office is open for pre-sale ticket sales from 2:30-4 p.m.\; regular ticket sales begin at 6 p.m. prior to the 7 p.m. perform ance. \; On Saturday\, May 5\, the box office opens one hour before the 3 p.m. matinee and one hour before the 7 p.m. evening performance.\n CAST LIST\nPlease note: Most roles are double cast.
