Saturday, April 21, 2012 marks the University of Michigan-Dearborn’s first annual Pancakes for the Planet fundraising event held to support children’s outdoor environmental education.
Pancakes for the Planet will feature pancakes and ice cream topped with 100% pure maple syrup produced locally from maple trees in the sugar bush on campus. While enjoying a meal, guests will have an opportunity to tour displays and exhibits about environmental education and sustainability initiatives that take place in the region.
Join us this Saturday for breakfast, Earth Day celebration, environmental displays, and kids' games and activities!

More About University of Michigan-Dearborn
University of Michigan-Dearborn is a satellite school of the university's main campus in Ann Arbor. Founded in 1959 with grant money from Ford Motor Company, it boasts a College of Arts, Science and Letters, College of Engineering and Science, School of Education and College of Business, plus graduate degree programs.
Most students commute from nearby cities. There is a vibrant student life with more than 125 clubs and organizations, such as a campus newspaper, TV and radio station, student activities board and various ethnic and political clubs. School sports teams, including lacrosse, hockey and basketball, play as the Wolves.
