Music fills the Players Guild of Dearborn as actors and crew prepare for the Nov. 9 opening of the delightful inspiring Webber and Rice Old Testament musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”
The show, the first musical of the group’s 85th season, runs Nov. 9 to 11, 16 to 18, 23 to 25 and Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 for a four-weekend run. Friday and Saturday shows are at 8 p.m., with 2:30 p.m. Sunday matinees.
Directed by Kim Donovan of Northville and produced by Valerie Haas of Inkster, the show features the choreography of Janeen Bodary of Dearborn Heights and the musical direction of Paul Abbott of Allen Park.

The Players Guild of Dearborn building was acquired in 1947. This location is rich in history, with several seasoned actors preforming here. They continually have several genres of theater preformed here by all age groups, including a youth theater. To audition you must attend just one session with scripts, the music is provided at each audition; however, familiarity with the show beforehand is recommended.
