If a woman wants birth control, she doesn't need the company she works for to be the decidingRead Morefacto r in making that decision. Birth control as part of Obamacare was a mistake in the first place. The govt could have made other provisions for making available funds to pay for birth control for those who could not afford the few dollars a month, perhaps allowing food stamps to also cover contraceptives as well. Regarding your precedent, it does not apply as the owners of the business are not making birth control decisions for employees, the owners are simply not paying for birth control. The employees are free to decide to either wait on 'fooling around' , or pay for their own birth control. Catholics are in a quandary since the 'rhythm' method of birth control is not foolproof and contraceptives are sinful. Most Catholics, in my opinion, make their own call on the issue....after 2014, with Dem minority in the House and Senate, the contraceptive issue part of Obamacare will be no doubt tossed out, making the Hobby Lobby issue moot.

The parking lot is too small to house a gas station. Adding gas pumps on the front is poorRead Moreplanning . Whoever made this decision needs to be fired! There won't be adequate parking for customers. Why can't Dearborn keep a large parking lot similar to Livonia's Kroger store? Are they going to add gas pumps there too? Or does the planing committee and director of residential services not care how the city looks?

Richard, you are nit picking over terminology. News reports interchange the termsRead MoreEmbassy/Consulate all the time when referencing Benghazi. Whether it is one or the other, using your own references, in all the attacks on embassies/consulates during Bush, none were lost, and no American diplomats were lost either. Good point Joe! That probably explains why the media is shut out by the govt when trying toRead Moreinvest igate the Bengazi mess. Why, for example, are the folk that did escape the Bengazi USA embassy still sequestered? Why no 'Reader's Digest ' accounts of their experiences and comments? The current govt is censoring mainstream media for a reason, with elections approaching, I wonder what that reason is?

I wonder how Nancy Astor would respond to ineptocracy? What is that again?Read MoreIneptocracy…&hel lip;..A system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely of sustaining themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers. Nancy, and you Joe, no doubt support the latter part of the definition. Obviously you imply that there is something wrong with 99% of folk controlling 55% of the nation's wealth. With the right ideas, and motivation, that 99% can control even more of the nation's wealth. Problem is, not everyone has ideas, or the desire to get off the couch, so they "are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the conficated weath of a diminishing amount of producers" , in other words, the one percenters.

Nature loves to adapt to change, and other bees and technology will come along to pollenate theRead Morecro ps. For example , the Blue Orchard bee is one alternative. The blue orchards rarely sting and, because of their solitary nature, do not swarm. They are incredibly efficient pollinators: for fruit trees, 2,000 blue orchards can do the work of 100,000 honeybees. Their biggest drawback is that beekeepers can increase their population only by a factor of three to eight a year; a honeybee colony can expand from several dozen individuals to 20,000 in a few months. Regarding chickens, we need to determine if hot wings are even needed, as evidence shows that the planet is getting cooler, aka record arctic ice etc this year, Lake Superior may be thawed out in a month or two...does that sound like global warming to you?

What were the circumstances of the accident during the fireworks display? Did he look down theRead Morelau nching tube to see if the fuse was lit? Did someone aim it at him? Obviously, it was an accident, and commonsense was lacking in the equation somewhere. At least he was luckier than the Detroiter who lit a large firework rocket in the driveway, and, once lit, accidently aimed it at himself instead of up in the air. Police ruled it a death by projectile penetration. He left behind 4 kids. This man did not have enough common sense to be handling fireworks, he paid the ultimate price . Why did he aim it at himself? No one has an answer. A tragic lack of understanding and common sense, like texting and driving a car...900 deaths a week from various car accidents, compared to 9 deaths a year from fireworks in the country, which one should we declare as unsafe, cars or fireworks?? More folk get killed from lightning than fireworks, all in all, fireworks are pretty safe according to the odds of getting killed in this country by something. Shooting off fireworks is part of our Country's heritage, freedom of choice, and freedom to use common sense.
