Dear Friends,
Election Day has arrived and I wanted to take the time to give my thanks to the citizens of the new 12th District. Over the course of this campaign, I have met a great many people from across Southeast Michigan and have found you to be incredibly kind and welcoming.
I’ve spent nearly every day of the past 6 months going door to door. It’s been a lot of work, but I have truly enjoyed every moment. We’ve come together at fairs and parades and community events. We’ve discussed a great many concerns like burdensome regulations and our convoluted tax system. I’ve met people from all walks of life and discovered that as long as we share a desire to do what is best for our community, there is no problem which we can’t make better. I could never have imagined how rewarding this experience could be.
America’s greatness comes from our commitment to take part in democracy. For our nation to be strong, we must remember to listen to each other, to care for one another, and to stay involved. We must take the time to understand the issues of our community and vote with the intention of making this country a better place for all Americans.
I give you my sincere thanks for your kindness, your consideration, and your time.
God Bless,
Karen Jacobsen

I voted for you Karen, but that old fart Dingell is going to blow you away -- by winning the primary, its just going to cost you more dough in November.
