Woman With Alzheimer's Goes Missing in Dearborn

Dearborn police have asked the public to help located Brenda Collins-Hopkins.

Update, Jan. 9: Dearborn police report that Collins-Hopkins was located by family members in the area of Livernois and Tireman. She had no injuries.

The is on the lookout for a 63-year-old woman with Alzheimer's who disappeared from her doctor's office Friday afternoon.

Brenda Collins-Hopkins was at the Friday when, according to police, she left the building at 5050 Schaefer Rd. and has since been missing.

Collins-Hopkins is an Alzheimer's patient.

Police were alerted to her disappearance around noon on Friday.

Collins-Hopkins is described as  5-foot-3 and 225 pounds with a medium build and short black hair. She was last seen wearing a blue puffy winter coat with "USA" written on the back in large letters.

Dearborn police are requesting public assistance in finding Collins-Hopkins. Anyone with information as to her whereabouts is asked to call the station at 313-943-2240.
