I think that Joe Biden was very sarcastic with his laughts, interruptive, unrespectful and been a bully at times. Paul Ryan had command of the issues and was very knowledge when he was able to speak. The moderator was a joke she lost control and should had told Biden to let Ryan speak. Ryan won the debate!

I listened to the debates on WDET rather than watching them on the teevee. So I missed seeing the eye rolls that many folks are chirping about, but the interrupted and talking "over" perhaps came through more keenly and I found it very disrespectful.

Aside from his unprofessional, supercilious, condescending attitude and clown - like approach to the debate, Joe Biden did not have a clear, concise answer to anything Paul Ryan said. Biden is a sitting VP ? He show join a circus. Very, very poor showing by the buffoon Biden. If Paul Ryan had acted in this way,my comments would be the same. A sad commentary for the Obama campaign.

I felt Joe Biden was rude and I would not want to ever see him as President. I also thought that is a natural self to disrupt when someone is talking - you wonder what he would say if Paul Ryan 'played that game also' of interrupting Biden every time he talked. Part of the interruption was so the American people got distracted and never heard Paul Ryan's answer. Biden quoted more numbers but not good answers as to Obama's and his plans for the next 4 years. People and the moderators ask "what are the specifics that Romney & Ryan going to do" and Paul answered them.

Yes, the government does pay for tax cuts. We have to borrow money to afford them, and interest costs money. Bush's tax cuts are why our debt is so outrageous right now, because he didn't figure out how to pay for his tax cuts.

Ryan continues to explain that loopholes for the rich will be ended. He also pointed out that in the past previous presidents including Presidents Kennedy, Reagan, and Bush lowered taxes, creating a more robust economy which brought in more taxes. Getting jobs for the unemployed will put more tax money into the economy. When people have more money, they will spend more, and will pay additional sales taxes giving states more money to provide services and hire more workers rather than laying them off. Also, Governor Romney has previously explained that he will go through the budget "line by line" to reduce waste. We all know the government wastes a lot of money, and spending is currently out of control. If this continues, we won't have any entitlements, Medicare, or Social Security for future generations. Much of this wasn't available in previous generations. A robust economy permitted all of these programs. It can't continue indefinitely if our borrowing is curtailed by our falling credit rating.

Brad, you have your facts wrong. The government did not loan the USPS anything. Instead, the USPS is being CHARGED $5.5 BIllion to prepay retirees health care. That is a requirement that no other government agency or private business in America has to comply with. Both sides are responsible for that bogus decision.

Ryan hasn't named one loophole that will be eliminated. He's been asked over and over again and he's refused to name one. Independent studies that have been done have shown that Romney's numbers don't add up. He either is going to add to the deficit or will have to raise taxes on the middle class to pay for them. Sound familiar? That's exactly what Snyder did in Michigan when he raised taxes on seniors and the middle class to pay for the massive business tax cut.

When all the Republicans can talk about is Biden's smile while he had total command of the facts, you know he won. It was ok when Romney smiled and interrupted our President, but when Biden was correcting, (as he should), putting forth the facts, (as he should), correcting Ryan on his lack of knowledge about our troops, (as he should), correcting Ryan about his false statements about the economy, (as he should) reminding Ryan of the letters he sent Biden agreeing and thanking him on stimulus, (as he should) ....Biden had a clear sense of the facts..Ryan was memorized and looked inexperienced. Biden leads and be next to that red button, Ryan flip flops with Romney,(reference this weeks comments pandering to woman from Romney on woman choice), and is not ready for this. Still no specifics from Ryan, and still no explanation of how the increased spending and tax cuts Romney proposes will not add to the deficit.
Steven S
8:49 am on Saturday, October 13, 2012
Brad, if you look at the actual data, the deficit has gone down since the days of Bush's reckless spending, mostly thanks to Obamacare. Obama's plan involves cutting spending and raising taxes on the wealthy to reduce the deficit and restore fiscal responsibility. It worked when Clinton was president. Romeny's plan is to lower taxes without cutting spending, something that Bush and Reagan tried with disastrous results to our nation's fiscal health.
A third party is completely foreign to our country's entire history and our culture, and isn't a realistic option. You have to work with what you have, and when it comes to fiscal responsibility and deficit reduction, the democrats have a great record to stand on, while the republicans work to destroy our country's credit.

Biden knows his stuff. He gave facts and showed a mature and deep command of the issues. I really thought that Ryan would give him a run for his money, but he actually skirted issues, avoided straight answers, and behaved like an uneasy and petulant child. Unless you are deaf and dumb, you have to admit Biden defeated Ryan in this debate. It may have been hard to determine who won, but clearly the American People Lost. The Vice President's behavior may be popular with Occupy Wall Street, but it was clearly beneath the office Vice President Biden holds. Congressman Ryan attempted to explain many times while Biden and the Moderator interrupted him. Where Ryan missed was to explain why Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, and EPA overregulation are strangling our economy and that is why our growth is so anemic.
Ryan could have also trotted out GE as the poster child of why we need to cut loopholes in the tax code.
The respectful way Romney corrected the President was OK, the disrespectful way Biden yammered while Ryan was speaking was poor. Just because we know the Vice President is a Joke does not give him a pass.

"It’s fun, isn’t it,” That's what Romney said when Jim Lehrer noted the candidates had gone over the time limit on the first segment… Both are guilty as charged. If you want to get down to it -the only person who didn't really abuse the time segments was Ryan. Don't forget - when Lehrer tried to reel in Romney he said he was going to go over and take longer.
If you want to make a fuss over floor time, as opposed to words spoken (Romney would've won there). He spoke so fast and flew out so many different things in his allotment. Obama's speaking style was akin to Ryan's last night (you may not like that) slow, precise.

I love how so many people can watch the exact same event and yet come away with such a variety of responses. Hurray Democracy!
It's clear both men had a command of the facts (even if they both varied on the truthiness of them), just as it is clear one conducted himself in a professional manner instead of an overly-dramatic, flustered responder. I've wondered what would happen when Ryan was unable to through out people who disagree with him. Last night proved that he has no answers. His finger pointing and blame laying didn't show the answers that the people want to know. What loopholes will you cut? The devil is in the details and Ryan didn't provide them.
That being said… Biden's interrupting didn't make the debate go any smoother and I think he played into the trap that Ryan set - which was to portray Ryan as the calm cool guy and Biden as a bully – but that's what the VP's job is, to be the bulldog.

I found it difficult to follow all of Ryan's responses due to Biden's clownish performance. If this was meant to show the Dems can be aggressive and make up for Obama's lackluster appearance, it had the opposite effect for me. In the first portion of the debate I told my husband Biden was strong and it went downhill from there as his clownish antics overshadowed the substance. I did find it interesting that Biden claimed the administration didn't know the consulate attack was terrorists and they were never informed additional security was requested or that he supposedly voted against the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Ryan was clearly not as prepared in the first portion of the debate but came back well through the remainder. I believe more so now that the R/R ticket will seek bipartisanship-which our country desperately needs.

Since the day Obama was elected, Republicans like Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell have said that the most important goal they had was to defeat President Obama. The Republicans aren't interested in bi-partisanship and the fact that they've opposed almost every single measure put forward by the President, even ones that they've previously supported, show their real goal, which is to defeat the President, not help the American people.

Our present Vice President could only grin, laugh and interupt. He interupted at least 80 times and complained about not getting enough time when he wound up with using more time. Biden could not really answer why it took so much time to come to grips with the real reason why 4 people died in Libia and did the same as the President by blaming someone else.
FHVoice

Vice President Biden won, hands down. He demonstrated a stronger set of experiences, better judgment, and a better understanding of the complexities of troop deployment in Afghanistan.
Vice President Biden put to rest the idea that our President somehow "disrespected" Bibi Netanyahu, just as Bibi himself had done, so Ryan's attempt to say differently was, well, not candid.
Biden also demonstrated a clear understanding that this is not a theocracy, while making it clear that R&R intend to work towards a "personhood" agenda, outlawing not only abortions, but in-vitro fertilization as well as most contraceptives
As supporters of Akin and his legitimate rape concepts, Ryan confirms Romney/Ryan would be a disaster for women and men who love them.
And as for Ryan's "religion" - he cannot hide the impact of his worship of Ayn Rand's philosophy of selfishness. That is why the US Conference of Catholic Bishops sent letters to various Congressional committees harshly criticizing Ryan’s budget, saying it disproportionately cut programs that "serve poor and vulnerable people." These programs include SNAP, Medicaid, and other parts of the social safety net - the tools our society uses to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves. The Nuns on the Bus, advocates for economic justice, have denounced Ryan’s budget as "immoral and unjustifiable" because it "will be putting the burden on the poor."
We've been warned: Obama/Biden 2012 to move forward, not backward!

Romney / Ryan have no plan. Asked in the debate and in several interviews about what the plan is to create millions of new jobs, the answer is always basically the same: we are going to create millions of new jobs. How is that an answer? When pressed by the moderator last night on how they were going to improve the economy, Ryan finally admitted that they had no plan, relying on some concept of bi-partisanship cooperation after elected. I think he forgets his own political history on that count. The biggest joke of the night is that somehow Ryan thinks they will have this instant credibility internationally - when both Romney and Ryan have Zero foreign relations skills. Perhaps Ryan was too busy with px90 to catch what a bafoon Romney was on his oversea tour a few months ago. Biden won the debate because Ryan just isn't honest and it was all too clear last night. I thought the moderator was excellent - very few in the press are bold enough to adk shaon fir an actual answer when a politician attempts to respond to a question with a prepared talking point.

Don I am not crazy about the ambiguity from the Romney campaign either. But where is Obama’s plan. His economic team hasn’t met in 18 months. We passed almost a Trillion dollars in stimulus 4 years ago. The only thing I see him doing now is saying tax the rich that will solve our problems. Well as Joe Biden so accurately pointed out, there are only 120K of those people who make over 1 million a year. We have a debt of 16 trillion, and a budget deficits over a trillion every year coming for the next ten years. Where is Obamas plan?

Biden won hands down. Body language revealed everything. Even if the debate was on mute, you could understand what was happening between the two men.
Point 1: Dry mouth is a symptom of fear- notice the CONSTANT mouth-wetting by Paul Ryan. You fear when you have something to hide, you fear when you don't want to be exposed. There is no fear when you stand firm for what you believe because you know it's the truth.
Point 2: Paul Ryan's eyes. I encourage everyone to take another look at the debate and watch the look on Paul's face when Joe Biden calls him out on the facts. Apparently Paul has been practicing his "puppy-dog innocent" look. Which, his in particular, I find to be creepy- being that he is a grown man. As a parent, I can spot those eyes a mile away- it's called GUILT. A person will do this when they are trying to "look" innocent.
Point 3: Joe Biden's laughing and looking off, away from Paul Ryan. He is angry and impatient. When someone is lying to you (in this case- the American public) and you know they are lying or spinning the truth- how do you feel? If your spouse was lying to you and you knew they were lying- but you could NOT yell or lose your composure- would you sit still and stiff like Paul Ryan and try to make your eyes look as large as possible as you tilt your head slightly down to make them look even more wide open- OR would you be restless and aggravated like Joe Biden was? Biden KNEW Ryan was lying & hiding, and he was RIGHTFULLY bothered by it.

Ryan. Hands down! Biden's constant mocking and laughing shows us exactly what kind of a leader (and I use that term loosely) he really is. Romney and Ryan are the type of intelligent men that I want running this country; not a couple of "light weights" who have never run anything but their mouths.

Romney did not interrupt Obama. He spoke afterwards to clear up the lies Obama was putting forth.
Ryan had both Biden and the moderator interrupt him at every turn. if he wasn't interupputing he was laughing and smirking to distract everyone.

In the rational public mind there will be no winner from this event. Biden showed himself a buffoon but quicker witted. Ryan showed more knowledge but obviously not a snappy responder. Overall definitely NOT Biden to ever be President. That would be scary. The moderator was a colossal failure. She quickly lost control of the event. All in all a disappointing 90 minutes.

Biden's performance would have been much better if he had stuck to words, and got rid of the theatrics, which were annoying and disrespectful. And don't compare his tactics with Romney's ... you didn't see the media go on and on about any "rudeness" in that debate. That's a made up issue. Biden was very strong in some areas, condescending in many others (including the use of 'my friend'). Ryan struggled in some areas (especially Syria) and it showed. But he was strong on the economy and his personal faith, two areas that he would be expected to be strong on.

Joe Biden won. It's all in the body laguage. Even if you watched the debate on mute, you could understand what was happening.
Congressman Paul Ryan revealed his lack of experience on foreign policy and looked mediocre. Republicans point to Vice President Joseph Biden's smile, laugh, and teeth veneers as rude, disrespectful, "un-presidential like," etc. Ironically, however, and fundamentally hilarious if it weren't for the effects of this selfishness, rests in the essential reality that most Republican backed policies on the economy, foreign policy, education, and health by all means warrant laughter and sick grins. Therefore, Ryan's claims indeed merited any facetious reactions on part of Biden. It's due time that Democrats started pursuing a more aggressive approach against Republicans; someone needs to call out the socially appropriate form of selfishness that stands as the foundation of the Republican party. Historically, Republicans have largely served as the "dominant" personalities in American politics- outspoken apologists like Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, former presidents George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan, among others, have confirmed this trend. What the Democratic Party needs concerns our own outspoken representative, who carries no fear of "stepping on the toes" of the Republicans. The track record of Republicans affirms that they in no way worry about "stepping on the toes" of Democrats, so why haven't Democrats returned the treatment? The Romney-Ryan due constitutes a fundamental goof, and to think otherwise signals smokescreens of foolishness, selfishness, and danger.

Without a lot of work I saw Joe Biden misrepresent many things. To name a few:
He said he didn't vote for the wars, when he did.
He said they saved the auto industry and if Romney had his way they would have gone bankrupt. News flash Joe! Bush gave them bailout money and GM and Chrysler did go bankrupt. All the administration did was move the non-secured shareholders in front of the secured and broke contract law.
Libya and the ambassador’s assignation is just another recent example of trying to spin their way out of a mistake and blame someone else. For over 1 week they kept to an untrue story. Now Joe throws the Intelligence Group under the bus and assigns blame to someone else.
This administration believes if they say something enough times it becomes the truth. The informed voter knows differently and just has to look at the statements made and compare them to what they are saying now; we just need to pay attention.
Ryan was having a comfortable fact based conversation with plenty of data to back up his position. Joe tried to spew numbers but kept mixing them up and stumbling, which shows he does not know the details, he is faking it.
On Obama’s and Romney’s webpage you can download their plans. If you put in the time and become an informed voter you will see they both have a detailed plan, just decide which one you agree with.
I am going with the plan that involves hard work and equal sacrifice. More hope and change is not a plan.

thank you, Daryl, for bringing up the bankruptcies. I find it odd that Romney doesn't point out that obvious bit of irony. The government did not, indeed, "prevent" GM or Chrysler from "going bankrupt". Both companies filed for reorganization, just like you said. And before this board erupts in a fury, there was honestly never any risk of a liquidation type of bankruptcy of either company. Most people think "liquidation" when they hear the word "bankrupt" when the truth is that over half of the auto and manufacturing industry (suppliers especially) has gone through bankruptcy reorganizations in the past decade, and only a very few have ever been sent to dissolution/liquidation.

Biden: Name calling, condescending, immature, smug, irritating, nervous laughing, smirking, etc..

This world has so many serious problems, and the great USA is in big trouble, not a good time for silly laughing/smirking/plain and simple in your face stupid actions by someone who is VP. I feel that Joe Biden won the debate because what he offers is more realistic than the Ryan/Romney plan. The smiles and such are just part of his personality and to be honest, I even smirked and rolled my eyes and some of the lies flying out of Ryans mouth. Ryan spent a lot of time lying and also using "tag phrases" of the Republican party. When he accused the Obama administration of attacking because they don't have a record to stand on, I ask..... what is the reason THEY are attacking then? Romney/Ryan have spent the past year doing nothing but attacking. They haven't outlined a solid workable plan. People ask about the plan and they never give a straight answer.

The U.S. Postal Service is the only company that Congress required to pay into its retirement pension system so that it is solvent to 2075 covering current retirees and future retirees that it has not even hired yet.
The reorganizations of Chrysler and GM and concessions from the UAW were part of the deal to get the necessary federal loans to avoid bankruptcy that some call "bailouts". No banks would float the money needed by the automakers. Our economy, after the collapse on Wall Street and the housing bust, could not afford the trauma of having another one million plus people unemployed. I believe as of today both companies have either repaid all or most of their loans and are posting some of their best sales in the last five years.
Finally, Paul Ryan keeps dodging every request by reporters for an explanation of how he and Governor Romney plan to pay for his huge new tax cut in their budget proposal. They will not name specific exemptdions they would reduce or eliminate.
They have plenty to say about how they would make cuts in Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and other assistance afforded to seniors, the disabled, our children, and the neediest poor working families in our nation. Shame on them for accusing the Democrats of conducting class warfare because the Democrats value working families and their contribution to our society and stand up for them with both voices and votes. I was an Obama voter in 2008. As an independent I have voted both parties throug the years. After these past 4 years there is no way he has earned my vote. The divide between Candidate Obama and President Obama is startling. As a candidate he promised an era of transparency and accountability, an end to Bush/DOJ radical theories of executive power, reform of the Patriot Act and to ban lobbyists from his administrative posts. Also, he has consistently shown his positions to be even worse than Bush/Cheney in executive overreach. He as appointed over 50 lobbyists to administrative posts, shown excessive cronyism by appointing an many top campaign fundraisers in 2 years as Bush did in 8. He's prosecuted more whistleblowers than all the presidents combined . He broke his promise to end no bid government contracts, to allow 5 days of public comment before signing bills-repeatedly, to broadcast health care negotiations on C-span, and to reduce earmarks to 1994 levels. He promised transparency but tried to block a ruling that White House visitor logs had to be released to the public then met with lobbyists in coffeehouse to bypass the visitor log. Ne's blocked FOIA requests regarding his ties with Monsanto -so now we know why he broke his promise to have genetically modified foods labeled- and he blocked FOIA requests to reveal who was on his Intelligence oversight committee. Don't even get me started on the loss of our civil liberties under Obama. He makes Bush look like Ghandi.

Kathy, Romney and his minions stole the disk drives from the computers in use in Massachusetts as left office. He has refused to show his tax returns back to 2000 as President Obama has. He and Ryan don't want to show any of the details of their financial plans because they know they will be unpopular. So, can you really deduce that Romney would be a paragon of open government?
What you can count on is that Romney will NOT stop off-shore banking to hide assets or total deferral of income for private equity managers, the trick Romney is currently using to avoid paying a fair share of taxes, all the while clamoring for more and more military spending?
Oh, and yes, you can also count upon the destruction of a woman's right to choose as well as personhood laws to destroy most forms of birth control.
So, Kathy, analyze as you will, but voting for Romney would be voting for a ticket that isn't even trying to be more open, accountable, or responsive.

Sue-yes the future of the Supreme Court does concern me. With the wildly excessive overreach of executive privilege and the diminishing concern for our civil liberties under the constitution, I am afraid that there will be justices appointed that will continue to allow these things to happen then sanction them as lawful. Are you aware
That he has resumed and strengthened the Personal Global Strike system that even Bush thought was too controversial to use? Doesn't it concern you that he has claimed American citizens can be assassinated without judicial review-then went ahead and did so? He's requested and used thousands of wireless wiretaps and vehicle GPS tracking devices without warrants even though they were ruled unconstitutional . His position is that the government can "never" be sued for surveillance that violates federal law. Just yesterday there was renewed effort to implement the regulation of the Internet in the name of cyber security-much like Russia, China and Iran's government controlled model. Yes Sue, the future of the Supreme Court really concerns me. There is a separation of branches for a reason and this sitting president's actions reflect a complete disregard for that.

Are we focused on the important issues? It appears to me that the important issues are rarely being considered! Abortion and same sex marriage do not put food on the table or help make car payments. Where we are and where we need to be is what we should be asking ourselves. We should be asking why the economy hasn’t improved in the last four years. Why hasn't Obama implemented a jobs program not in the election year but back in 2009 or even 2010? Why hasn't Obama found a way to support small business which employs 75% of the total US workforce? Why does Obama continue to bleed the US by paying for Mexico's poverty problem? Why doesn't he force Mexico to address their own poverty problems; and why should they when the current administration is more than willing to spend the money that could be spent to take care of you on them! What does Obama care do for you? Have you read the specifics detailed in the Obama care plan? I have and democrats and republicans alike need to be greatly concerned, it will absolutely increase the amount needed per person for anyone making less than $75,000 per year at least $2500 per year. It makes me wonder why it was even initiated. With the exception of the media and holly wood personnel (they make their money based on arguments and dissention) are you better off today than you were four years ago? Why don't we focus on the real issues and not get caught up in voting for abortion, same sex marriage, and other controversial issues.

By every economic measure, we're better off today than 4 years ago. The economy was in freefall when the President took office. The country was losing around 800,000 jobs a month. The stock market had collapsed. Major companies like GM and Chrysler were on the verge of collapse and several large financial companies had gone into bankruptcy. Those are the facts.

Scott, a woman's right to manager her own healthcare choices, as well as same sex marriage do have financial impacts. Just because they do not impact you doesn't invalidate the issues.
Scott, you wrote "Where we are and where we need to be is what we should be asking ourselves. " You left off "how did we get here in the first place?". Failing to consider that last question could lead you to repeat the same fundamental mistake: the trickle down model of economic development has been tried and proven a failure. It was such a failure that it created a huge hole in the economy. We are emerging from that pit.
"We should be asking why the economy hasn’t improved in the last four years. " What?!? We were losing over 700,000 jobs per month as President Obama came into office. All economic measurements have shown improvement.
Now, for people still looking for some discussions of the differences between the candidates, as well as what a fair discussion of the last 4 years would reveal, here are some resources to review.

Thank you FHVOICE for once again being the voice of reason. I am also very troubled by Romney's failure to produce tax returns...he has supported other countries, banks, and financial institutions with his "investments"(tax evasions) in them instead of keeping his money right here, in the country he wants to lead because "he loves the USA so much."
He is hiding tax issues period, or he would have complied with the many requests to produce. I find this is dishonest, sneaky, and shady. He is NOT a Michiganian, he doesn't care about the struggles of our state or 47% of the rest of the country. OF COURSE HE REGRETS SAYING IT, HE GOT CAUGHT. Boo Hoo..he said it, and he believes it. Ryan's "zinger" about regretting what he said (because V.P's all say things they don't mean at times) to Biden didn't even cut the mustard, let alone excuse his ignorance. It was clearly rehearsed that he could not wait till Biden brought it up..he was chomping at the bit to make that statement, and we all know it.
I have to say Ryan scares me more than Romney, and it isn't because he looks like Eddie Munster.
Ignoring same sex marriage issues and woman's choice (unless they are begrudgingly brought up..they hate it) is not only huge, it shows the arrogance of Romney Ryan and the dismissal of 50% of the population.

I'm sorry you feel that women shouldn't have their own voice, a brain, or (gasp!) a CHOICE. Good thing our fore mothers fought tooth and nail to get me the right to vote! Sorry though - I missed the part where we have to all band together no matter what the issue was. Hmmmmm... seems to negate the whole 'right to vote' issue; doesn't it? Seriously, your right to ally yourself with the Democrats should be as respected as my (and any other woman's) right to ally myself WHERE EVER I WISH TO. @Michele- you do have the right to vote for anyone you want to. I also have the right to believe that you are uneducated to choose to vote for someone who will destroy healthcare for women. Who votes against their own gender? Abortions or D&C as it is known in the medical community is not just used to take out a viable fetus. My sister had to get one when her body failed to expel a miscarried fetus. If it were illegal or not covered by insurance, she would have had to fight to have the procedure in courts and cause her undue mental anguish because she would have to be a walking coffin for much longer than just being able to make an appointment and get it done. As it was, they had to wait several days after the baby died to scheduled it and she was forced to walk around knowing it was no longer viable. Also, women who do get raped and then give birth and raise the baby are being forced to allow their rapist visitation of the baby! Ryan wants to quantify rape into various levels. Wouldn't you want a rape that YOU endured to be labeled as not really a rape? I can't believe there are women who would even begin to back this program. It's really sad and yes.... Jen, I'm sorry to hear your sister had a miscarriage. She's lucky to have such an impassioned sibling looking out for her. I myself have experienced two, and had to go through what she did also; certainly tough to be sure. Yes, women have many common interests at hand, but our priorities vary it seems. I happen to be very educated, so your attempt at insulting people like myself who don't agree with you, has fallen short. I wish you continued good luck with your deeply-felt beliefs, as I hope you would do the same for me. Please remember you will get much farther achieving the support for women's rights if you keep a level head and speak facts, not blown-out-of-proportion assumptions of 'what could be' instead of what IS. I will be out there doing the same too.

Stacy, I'm alot less concerned about Romney tax returns than I am about over 5 trillion in additional debt from Obama, $4.00/gal gas, 8% unemployment, more people on food stamps than ever before, 240% increase in US deaths in Afghanistan, Obamacare, death panels, Obama disrespecting Netanyahu, while telling Russia he could be more flexible on nuclear weapons after the election, that is treasonous. I wouldn't make fun of Ryan hair. At least he doesn't look like "plugs" Biden. So because of these and other real issues the polls are turning toward Romney & Ryan. The Reagan Democrats and Independents are "coming home to roost" (a favorite saying of Obama's Rev Jeremiah Wright) For those who want their country back it's Romney and Ryan. For the Socialists you have Hugo Obama and Fidel Biden. R&R 2012

You have been watching Hannity, haven't you? He did not disrespect Netanyahu..he was in another state and they spoke as they have many times. Bebe confirmed that..you also quote Rush, (yes I listen to these stooges) You wouldn't make fun of Ryan's hair, yet you go on to do so with Bidens? I just stated the fact that he looks like Eddie Munster, a very likable fellow. :)
Of course you are not concerned with his tax returns, it doesn't show honesty and you don't want that to be an issue.
Now let me quote Rush..you may have heard this, and if you do not feel this is disgusting, you have your candidate in Romney.. Rush-"Think of Romney as Elmer Fudd, do not worry about who he is and what he stands for, just focus on voting Obama out." That is the candidate you have in Romney. This is the mission of the right from day one.
I am concerned with a woman's right to choose. I am concerned with equal rights, equal pay and HONESTY with regard to tax finances in a man who wants to occupy this seat. Romney is not.
All the right has done since the day he was elected is campaign to get him out. I have never seen such hatred, and it is very telling.

Republicans continuing to harp on Libya and using the lives of those fine men for political gain makes me want to throw up.
Let's not forget we were also warned about 9-11 and there had been a terrorist attack previously. Airport security had not even been elevated.
Also to remind you of another thing, it was ONE YEAR to investigate "weapons of mass destruction". The investigation is not even finished yet regarding Libya. The FBI just got there last week.
There were 7 embassies attacked during the Bush years. Terrorists are terrorists. They have been around forever. But if Stevens and the others were in danger, they should have been moved out to there. It was not an embassy but simply a small consulant.
Romney seems to think he should have privy to national matters still under investigation. The lives of those fine men is tragic, not a great talking point for him. To try to gather votes over the spilled blood of others makes me sick.

Sue, I assure you I am a woman, and one who doesn't rely on media figures to form my own opinion. I have my conscience for that. I am 47 years old, married for 10 years, have three children, yet remember clearly over 16 years ago getting my own mortgage to buy my own first house. A good credit rating, a steady income, and an appropriate down payment made my process flawless; I'm sorry you had a different experience. As in all business - Money talks. When these principles were overlooked in the '90s, and mortgages were given to many eager-to-be-home-owners who didn't meet this criteria, the stage was set for the financial crisis we are enduring now. I'm sorry you feel a conservative voice isn't representative of women. I only know mine respects your choice to be what ever you want to be, and would never resort to silly insinuations because we disagree.

Maybe there attacks on Embassies during Bush' time in office but no ambassador was killed and we have more attack on our embassies since Oboma has been President and he has only been in office for only four years, and Bush was in office for eight years. This administration denied upgrading security even though it was requested several times. If this president wasn't affraid to call terrorist atacks just that. You know what? I am so sick of the Foxites whining about the death in Lybia. people who go overseas as ambassadors or government officials KNOW the risk, just like our men and women in uniform know the risk. Why is the life if this one Ambassador worth more than thousands of faceless men and women who are being killed overseas because of a war that Bush started? I DO feel bad for the family of ANYONE who has died in service to our country but collateral damage happens when our country is trying to police the nations. Ryan/Romney want to ramp up the war, while Obama would like to find a peaceful solution. Will we still lose people to this horrific battle, YES! But that does not mean we should run around killing Thousands of innocents over there and putting more of our men and women in harms way. (This just creates more reason for people in these countries to hate us and join the opposition) These countries need to start policing themselves and we need to start putting more of our money back into OUR country and not into the wars.

This country stood behind Bush and came together after 911, we were united. There were warnings that came to light after the fact as there always are, and still, no one politicized the horrific events of 911 right after the attack. Romney treats the events of Bengassi as a political GIFT and it is not only nauseating, it is and was predictable that this would be his behavior. A true non-leader who is looking for tragedy to use as a zinger point. The DAY after the attack, Fox News was gloating about the failure of Obama to protect the Ambassador and other brave men who died. Sickening.
What did Obama do when he ran for President? He promised to kill Osama..and he did. I don't hear Romney vowing to find the terrorist killers of this awful tragedy..he just blames, blames..no solutions.
Jen is right..Romney is chomping to go to war. Pay attention to his comments at the debate. National security under Romney? I want details..all I have heard is he wants to build 5 new submarines and spend spend on military.

Mike If Romney is politicizing this as much as you claim, then don't you need to be honest with yourself and the other posters here and say that Obama and the administration is doing everything they can not to? In other words, doesn't it benefit the President and the adminsitration if they cover it up so that it doesn't become political? Furthermore, doesn't it seem odd to you that at every turn the Administraiton and the Obama Campaign have gone to great lengths to point the finger in the other direction. For example, first it was the movie on youtube, then according to Biden last week it was the CIAs fault, then it was the State Departments Fault, then last week Stephanie Cutter said it was the Romney/Ryan campaigns fault. Yes it was stupid for Romney to go out and make a big deal outta it until the dust had setteled a little on it, but frankly, the administration has been just as stupid trying to blame everyone else.

Here is an interesting panel summation from a late night radio talk show last week. Please keep in mind that while the interviewees cannot be verified by me, the host was not one of the frequent 'mouths that roar' so prevalent out there and the 'panel' members were, purportedly, qualified and experienced medical personnel. They discussed Biden's major heart attack a number of years ago and subsequent permanent lingering effects on him. In brief, they stated, the lack of oxygen to his brain at the time left him with a 'not-uncommin is such situations' permanent lack of empathy for others characterized by his constanat (now famous) smiling, his frequent interruptions of others, his verbosity, and seemingly inappropriate facial expressions. In short - we currently have a Vice-President - literally one heartbeat away from becoming the President of the United States - who has discernable, functional brain damage.

Wow we have one guy who can't produce a birth certificate until 3 years after the fact, and another that possibly has brain damage, is it just me or do we need an adult in the room giving everyone a full unbiased physical and mental competency exam before they accept the nomination, and require the Surpreme Court to get t copy of the birth certificate. Personally, I will follow what the CBO reports. You and Johnny Q are so impressed with Obama's handling of the financial crisis, why hasn't anyone been charged with a crime, why hasn’t anyone gone to jail, or been fined? Do you think it is because no one is guilty? Or is it because Obama needs money from those fat cats on Wall Street to keep his campaign alive? Do you really believe that Obama bailed out GM because it was the most important thing for the country, or is it because of the support the UAW gives him and the Democratic Party? Maybe it was because 68 out or 69 counties in Ohio, with it’s 18 electoral votes, directly or indirectly support the auto industry. Is it any wonder why Ohio is going for Obama now, and why he has spent the last 2 years campaigning in Ohio telling everyone how he saved the auto industry? Here is a little secret folks that they don't want to talk about. The reason GM was going bankrupt and eventually did was because of its retirement benefits to the 1 million retired UAW members. The administration took those tens of millions of UAW unfunded retirement benefits off the backs of GM and put it on us, the taxpayers. Being naive is one thing, being ignorant is another!
