Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Where is the Best Place for Pizza in Wayne County?

Tell us your favorite place to get pizza in the comments' section below.

Patch has started a new column to discover the best places to eat in Wayne County—and Patch would love your help.

The new column, Food Fight, will seek your suggestions on the best restaurants, diners and cafes for pizza, barbecue, pasta and more. We want your vote and your opinions for the best entrees in the area.

This week we want to know: Who has the best pizza in Wayne County?

You can let us know by leaving a comment below. You may submit comments until 5 p.m. Tuesday.

From there, we will take the top three finalists and post in an article first thing Wednesday morning. Then it will be time to vote again to decide the Food Fight champion.

Voting will continue until Friday at 5 p.m. Then, on Saturday morning, we will announce the winner.

We know there are many great restaurants, sports bars and coffee houses to eat, drink and be merry, and we know you have opinions.

So show your hometown pride and pick a place near you. Boast about your cool coffee shop, or brag about that great steak house.

And, if you are pulling for a certain restaurant, share this column on your personal Facebook page and Twitter feed and ask your followers to vote.

This column is all about you—your ideas, your feedback and your voice—so we hope you will chime in and check back.

So, without further ado, lets get the voting started. Patch readers, tell us by commenting below, where is the BEST place to get pizza in Wayne County.

About this column: Each week, the Wayne County Patch sites will seek the best place to get certain entrees in the area. The Food Fight will allow readers to vote on their favorite place to get a burger or a latte or a steak, etc., in the area. We will ask for submissions every Monday, will post finalists every Wednesday and the champion on Saturday. Be sure to check back to vote. Related Topics: Food and Restaurants

For thick, Chicago-style pizza, it's def Pizzapapalis in downtown DTW, but for real Italian thin-crust pizza, it will always be Tomatoes Apizza, near 10-mile & Halsted!

For quick Hungry Howie's on Eureka in Southgate. Not all HH's are created equal but they don't make me sick. I love Nino's in allen park for bbq chicken pizza. But Buddy's is by far the best in Wane County

If you want to take a ride, the best is Loui's (pronounced Louie's) Pizza in Hazel Park. Owners of buddy's and shield's pizza worked there before opening their own places.
