So, it's Christmas Day – but the world doesn't stop just because it's a holiday. You have errands to run, calories to work off and nieces and nephews to entertain. Here's a look at what's open and what's closed over the holidays in Dearborn.

City offices

City offices are closed Dec. 24, 25, 30 and 31 in addition to their normal closures on weekends. Offices will keep normal 8 a.m.-5 p.m. hours on all other days.

Post offices

All post offices are open normal business hours during the week, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all three Dearborn locations. The Post Office on Greenfield, which is normally open Saturdays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., will be closed on Christmas Day.

Gyms

The Dearborn Health and Racquet Club will be open 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 24 and closed on Christmas Day. After that, regular hours will resume. They are: Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Bally Total Fitness, at the Fairlane Town Center, will be open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 24 and closed Christmas Day. Then, regular 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. hours resume.

Fitness USA, on Michigan Avenue, will be open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 24 and closed on Christmas day. The gym will also have reduced hours on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, but will remain open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 31 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 1.

Dearborn Ice Skating Center

The DISC is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but offers plenty of opportunities for public skating during the rest of the holiday season.

Open skating is available 3-4:20 p.m. Dec. 26; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4-5:20 p.m. Dec 27; 5:30-6:50 p.m. Dec. 28; and 11:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Dec 29 and 30. There will also be open skating times 4-6 p.m. New Year's Eve and 2-4 p.m. New Year's Day.

Skating fees are $4 for Dearborn residents, $5 for non-residents and $2 for seniors and children under $5.

Fairlane Town Center

For your last-minute holiday shopping, Fairlane Mall is open Dec. 24 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Dec. 26 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. It will be closed on Christmas Day.

Mall hours on Dec. 27-30 are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Normal mall hours resume on Jan. 2.

Starbucks

The west Dearborn Starbucks location on Michigan Avenue will be closed on Christmas Day, but the east Dearborn location on Michigan near Oakman will be open normal hours on Dec. 25.

AMC Fairlane

The AMC Fairlane location will have reduced showtimes on Christmas Day. Shows begin as early as 9:55 a.m. and start as late as 7:40 p.m., with showings of such films as Yogi Bear 3D, True Grit, Tron: Legacy, Tangled, Gulliver's Travels, Black Swan and more.
