Five things you need to know to start your day in Dearborn.

Ready to start your day? Here's what you need to know.

1. Temperatures will stay hot with a high of 89 today, according to the National Weather Service. There's a small chance of rain, but skies will mostly stay sunny.

2. Following last night's heated discussion about the city budget, the adoption meeting happens tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Dearborn City Hall in the City Council Chambers. Everyone is welcome to attend; but if you can't, follow our live tweets and join the budget conversation on our Facebook page. Also watch for live blog updates on the site tonight.

3. The annual Strictly Business Networking and Awards Luncheon takes place at the Hyatt Regency today at 11:30 a.m., hosted by Jewish service nonprofit JVS. The guest speaker is Bill Ford, and Broner Glove & Safety will receive the 2011 Business Leadership Award.

4. The winners of the Taste of Dearborn-West giveaway have been chosen! Congratulations to Margaret Charara, Rose Wiggle, Marshall Wehr, Kevin Kennedy and Krista Foley. Check your email for details, because you're going to enjoy the best Dearborn eats on June 15–for free. Thanks to everyone for telling us your favorite local restaurant!

5. In honor of Dearborn's automotive heritage, we bring you Ford Facts. Today's fact: As of 2010, Ford Motor Company employed 164,000 people across the world.
