Dearborn High School senior Feerooz Yacoobi won the shot put at the Division 1 state track and field finals.
Feerooz Yacoobi's 55-plus-foot throw was easily enough to earn top honors in the shot.

Dearborn High School senior Feerooz Yacoobi won the state championship in the shot put at the Division 1 state track and field finals at Rockford on Saturday.
Yacoobi won the event with a toss of 59 feet, 4 inches.
