Son, Friend Charged in Cipriano Family Attack Face Hearing Today
Tucker Cipriano and Mitchell Young will appear in 47th District Court, as Rose and Salvatore Cipriano recover and community fundraisers are planned.
A day after a news report that his mother is "doing fabulous", 19-year-old Tucker Cipriano faces another court date.
At 2 p.m. today, he and 20-year-old Mitchell Young will be in Judge Marla Parker's 47th District courtroom in Farmington Hills for a preliminary examination on felony charges filed after the April 16 murder of Tucker's father, Robert, 52, and assaults that left his mother, Rose, and 17-year-old brother, Salvatore, with critical injuries.
On Tuesday, MLive.com reported that an event held Saturday in Bay City, Rose Cipriano's hometown, raised about $10,000 for the family. At the event, Beth Trahan said her sister, who was moved to a rehab facility earlier this month from Botsford Hospital, is walking and talking. According to a Facebook support page, Salvatore remains at Botsford Hospital, but is making progress.
While the injured Ciprianos recover, son Tanner and daughter Isabella remain with other family members.
Today at Edsel Ford High School in Dearborn, Dearborn school officials will reveal a plan to honor Bob Cipriano, who worked as the district's Business Services Director. A number of fundraisers for the family have already been held, and more are planned:
