PHOTO: Dearborn Goes Crazy for $1 Jimmy John's Subs
Customer appreciation day made for big crowds at the sub shop's Dearborn locations.
The freaky good sandwiches at Jimmy John's made for some freaky long lines Thursday when the chain of shops offered $1 subs to its metro Detroit customers.
At Dearborn's two Jimmy John's locations, some people were happy to wait in line for a discounted sandwich.
"Just got mine at the Ford Road location in Dearborn," Dearborn Patch Facebook fan Betty Murphy said around 3 p.m. "Long line, but I was in and out in 10 minutes. I work very nearby and my sub was delish, so all good in my book."

Some, however, were not willing to wait to save a few bucks.
"I never had one," Dolores Palacio said. "I wanted to go and try one but maybe not!"

"Unbelievable what people will do to save three dollars," Kamal Makki added.
