Frida Open for Business in West Downtown Dearborn
The bistro-like Mexican restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Frida is decorated with with intimate tables and paintings–many of them recreations of the work of its namesake, artist Frida Kahlo.

West Dearborn got a kick of Mexican flare this month with the Sept. 8 opening of Frida Mexican Cuisine. Located at 22053 Michigan Ave., the eatery is already a hot spot of lunchtime activity.
However, Frida serves up Mexican meals–from staples like tacos and burritos to in-house specialties–all day long. The restaurant is open 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8 a.m.-2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
Co-owner Ricardo Gutierrez told DeepsaidWhat.com, “I wanted to bring Southwest Mexican food closer to Dearborn. I am doing this concept with my mother ... so you can count on good homemade cooking.”
Frida owners say they expect to hold a grand opening later this month, with the date tentatively set as Sept. 30.
