Find Last-Minute Christmas Gifts in Dearborn
If the holidays leave you with little time to shop for gifts, try these stores in Dearborn for great last-minute gift ideas.
With all of the tree trimming, cookie baking and partygoing, there is so much to do during the holidays that it's easy to leave shopping for Christmas presents until the last minute. But by then, the malls and chain stores are usually chaotic and the mere thought of battling crowds is exhausting.
Here are some ideas for easy gifts that can be bought locally and require little stress:
- Go to The Henry Ford and buy a membership for a friend or family who could use it year round for historical fun.
- Go to Westborn Market or Merchant's Fine Wine to pick up a pre-made gift basket, or stop by Alcamo's or Dearborn Sausage for some edible stocking stuffers.
- Go to Iversen's Bakery Express or Shatila to pick up a box of homemade cookies.
- Go to Starbucks or Biggby to help caffeinate someone in your life with a bag of fresh coffee, or a to-go mug.
- Go to Om Day Spa to pick out some spa services for mom or your wife, including special holiday treatments—like a Cranmerry Facial or a Peppermint Pedicure.
- Go to The Fairlane Club, Dearborn Racquet and Health Club, or the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center and pick someone up a gym membership.

Making this list was a good reminder to shop local. I bought a few last-minute gifts this weekend from Dearborn Music, Westborn and Merchant's. Anyone else do some shopping in Dearborn?

I buy mostly books for people so unfortunately, I could not buy in Dearborn. I shopped at Barnes and Noble which I encourage others to support.
In Dearborn, I bought gift certificates at Dearborn Music, Bigby's, Starbucks, and Dick Blick's.
I bought a few neat gifts at Pure Detroit in the Guardian Building.
Donna - What and where is "Concepts in Confection"?
Have al peaceful Christmas.

Dropped off some nice used books for credit and ended up with even more to give as presents at the Used Book store near Leon's at Michigan and Telegraph. Neatly organized, with a great selection of hardback books as well. Price is right!

I went to Barnes and Noble as well - although getting in and out of the complex on the Hill wasn't fun! Dick Blick's is another great shop for presents!
Also, Concepts in Confection is a bakery near Grindley Park/Outer Drive. I hear it's very good, but I haven't been. I'll have to add that one to my list!
