Those dreaming of a white Christmas this year might see nothing short of a miracle Tuesday morning.
The weather report for Dearborn is calling for rain showers on Thursday afternoon that will turn into snow by Friday, with temperatures ranging from 35 to 27 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
The chance for precipitation is 100 percent on Thursday and 70 percent on Friday. There could be as much as an inch of snow by Saturday morning—not much, but enough to make Bing Crosby happy.
If there is snow on the ground this weekend, it will likely hang around until the big day because temperatures are expected to range from 26 degrees Saturday night to 35 degrees on Christmas Day.
As we head into winter, the Michigan Department of Transportation released a public request Thursday morning to remind drivers to keep their distance from snowplows when they’re working.
“Drivers must be cautious while snowplows are grooming the roads and not get too close to or drive around any snowplowing vehicle while it is at work,” Robert Conrad, director of Wayne County’s Roads Division, said in a statement.
