Divine Child’s quest for a second straight girls basketball championship fell just short.
Divine Child lost to unbeaten Goodrich 68-53 in the Class B state semifinals on Friday in the Breslin Center at East Lansing.
Divine Child, the defending Class B state champion, had defeated Marshall in the state quarterfinals earlier in the week.
Goodrich (27-0 overall record) will play Grand Rapids Catholic Central in the Class B state championship game on Saturday at 6 p.m.
