Forecasts call for between 2-5 inches in Dearborn starting Thursday evening, and a Winter Storm Watch will be in effect through Friday morning.
According to a hazardous weather outlook and winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service, a strengthening low pressure system will move into the southern Great Lakes region on Thursday.
The heaviest snow is expected Thursday evening after 8 p.m., according to the NWS. Snow may mix with sleet at times, but overall is expected to result in 1-3 inches of snow accumulation overnight. The snow will continue Friday morning, with several more inches of accumulation possible.
Friday morning commuters can expect a snowy and slippery drive.
