Dearborn Police Request Assistance Finding Alleged Bank Robber
Police say a man wearing a mask and sunglasses robbed the Dearborn Federal Savings Bank on Monday, July 30.
Dearborn Police are requesting the public's assistance in identifying a masked man who allegedly robbed a local bank this week.
According to police, a man wearing a mask and sunglasses entered the branch of the Dearborn Federal Savings Bank at Outer Drive and Carlysle around 2 p.m. on Monday, July 30.
After demanding money from the teller, the suspect placed the cash in a duffel bag he was carrying and fled the bank, police said. No weapon was seen.
The suspect is described as a white male of unknown ethnicity, who appeared to be in his 20s. Witnesses told police he was approximately 6 feet tall and weighed 180 pounds. He was described as wearing a blue baseball cap turned backwards with a white and red circular emblem, sunglasses, a black mask covering the lower portion of his face, a black windbreaker style jacket with white or silver reflective material along the seams, and dark pants.
Police do not know if the suspect entered a vehicle or fled on foot.
