The verdict is out, and readers of HOUR Detroit have named their picks for the 2012 Best of Detroit.
On the list? Multiple places with Dearborn ties–including the Players Guild of Dearborn, which took top honors in the category of Best Community Theatre.
The guild, established in 1927, will begin its 2012-13 season in September with performances of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Check out their whole upcoming season, and purchase tickets, on their website.
Several other establishments with Dearborn connections also took home top honors, too: Buddy's Pizza, with a location in west Dearborn, won Best Gluten-Free Menu and Best Pizza; Miller's Bar won Best Burger; Westborn Market, with a location in west Dearborn, won Best Produce. Ford Motor Company, headquartered in Dearborn, won Best Domestic Automaker.
A Best of Detroit party hosted by HOUR will take place June 22 at the Motorcity Casino Hotel. Purchase tickets at www.hourdetroit.com.

Of course, Linda! There's a lot of good stuff to write about - I just wish I had an extra day in my week so that I could post it all!
Which reminds me, readers ... if you want to recognize something great on Patch, you can always do that (for free!) in our announcements section: http://dearborn.patch.com/search/announcements. Great for graduations, births, engagements, promotions, retirements ...
