Wygonik, who has been on the bench in Dearborn since 2005, said in a statement that he is grateful for the endorsement.

“Dearborn’s firefighters are respected for their professionalism and dedication to serve the people of Dearborn," Wygonik said. "I’m proud to have their support."

Wygonik is also endorsed by the 15th District Democrats, Dearborn Democratic Club, Michigan Spanish Speaking Democrats, United Auto Workers, Police Officers Association of Dearborn, Greater Detroit Building and Construction Trades Council, Plumbers ’98 PAC, Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Trowel Trades Union Local 1, Sheet Metal Workers Local 80, Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights, Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters, Pipefitters Local Union #636 among others.

He was selected in 2011 by the Michigan Supreme Court to serve as chief judge of the 19th District Court.

All of your endorsements mean nothing to the residents of Dearborn, your association with Judge Somers tells the people a lot. Start looking for another job, because you are going down -- Salamay all the way.

As always the Dearborn fire fighters come through. Great selection! It's a pleasure to see both the Dearborn police and fire supporting Judge Wygonik. We all need to get out and have our voices heard! It was frightening to see the "key note" speaker at Salem Salameys fundraiser last week - Bob Ficano. What an "ethical" choice. Yikes!! Let's keep city hall out of the courts!!

I am curious, Wygonik is running on the platform that he has integrity. What was that controversy a few years back when he was slamming the arabs? Oh yea, Mr. Berry informed the media on this conversation, then backtracked. Makes one wonder?
Is there integrity? Are the arabs getting fair treatment when they go before Mr. Wygonik?

People need to do their research before they throw accusations. Lets have both candidates run on the issues.
