Dearborn Firefighters Wear Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness
Many Dearborn firefighters will wear pink T-shirts the last two weeks of October to raise awareness and money for breast cancer awareness.
Many Dearborn firefighters will wear pink T-shirts this month for the International Association of Firefighters Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.
Dearborn firefighters will wear the pink T-shirts on duty after receiving approval from the fire chief’s office, according to an email from Lt. Joey Thorington.
Proceeds from the sale of the T-shirts will go toward the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Campaign” sponsored by the American Cancer Society.

This is great!
And if your group or organization has a fundraiser for breast cancer awareness planned, post it as an event on Dearborn Patch with this link: http://dearborn.patch.com/events/new

I think this is wonderful. One day we will beat this Cancer and all others as well. I have not been affected(Thank the Lord) by breast cancer, but know people that have. I have family and friends that are fighting, fought and have passed from other cancers. They are ALWAYS in my prayers and heart for the mighty fight they had. God bless them all.

This is wonderful! Hopefully one day we will find a cure for all cancers. Maybe next year they can wear lime green for Lymphoma awareness in September. We just completed our Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on October 12th at Bishop Park. Visit http://pages.lightthenight.org/mi/Downrivr12/sjones to make a donation or www.lls.com for more information. Thanks! :)
