It was renamed for Clara Bryant, wife of Henry Ford but I am unsure of what it's previous name was.

Well, originally it was just the Dearborn Public Library since it was the only building. When Henry Ford Centennial Library was opened as the main, it was renamed Mason Branch (Snow Branch was the Princeton Branch, Esper has always been Esper in it's present location. Before the present branch was opened, the storefront branch was just the Warren Branch. We also had a branch at City Hall, one in the south end and a bookmobile for a while.) I grew up with my grandmother still calling the libraries Mason and Princeton.

Wasn't the library near Buddy's a fire station at one time? Also an administation bldg?

No. Bryant has always been a library. The Commandant's Quarters (Part of the Historical Museum) was many different things, including a police station and city hall before the present city of Dearborn was established.
