April 6 trivia answer: The original purpose of the University of Michigan-Dearborn when it opened in 1959 was to educate engineers who would hopefully end up working in the automotive industry.

I did hear a rumor (which at this point is only a rumor) that Bob Seger worked at the Rouge Assembly plant for a short time. Anyone confirm that?

CORRECTION .. BOB SEGER WAS BORN IN DEARBORN HIS FATHER WORKED FOR FORD MOTOR CO ,HIS DAD ABANDONED THE FAMILY WHEN BOB WAS10 YEARS OLD, AND THE FAMILY MOVED FROM DEARBORN.

The Baldori brothers are Dearborn boys and part of The Woolies who recorded and had a huge hit with the Bo Diddley tune, "Who Do You Love?" It's in pretty regular rotation on "oldies" stations.
