The following information was supplied by the Dearborn Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
A Dearborn Heights man's attempt to solicit sex from a woman ended with the theft of his car late Tuesday night, according to Dearborn police reports.
The man told police that he was driving near Telegraph Road and Grand River around midnight on Tuesday when he saw a woman who he believed to be a prostitute. He pulled over and picked up the woman to solicit her for sex.
He drove them south on Telegraph into Dearborn, where he stopped at a Marathon gas station near Ford Road and Telegraph to buy condoms. According to the report, the man left his car running in the parking lot with the keys in the ignition so that the woman could keep the air conditioning on.
When he emerged from the shop, his 2008 Mazda 6–and the woman–were gone.
The woman was described to police as a white female around the age of 25-35. She had shoulder length brown hair and a large tattoo on her right arm. She was estimated to be about 5-foot-5 and weigh approximately 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray tank top and blue jean shorts.
Police were not able to locate any suspects at the time of the report.
