Lane closures on I-94 and the Southfield Freeway will affect Dearborn-area drivers this weekend, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Northbound and southbound M-39 will have multiple lane closures at I-94 from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday for bridge demolition work at the I-94/M-39 interchange.

During the same time period, eastbound and westbound I-94 will be reduced  to a single lane between Michigan Avenue and West Grand Boulevard for ongoing bridge and resurfacing work. In addition, the ramps from eastbound and westbound I-96 to westbound I-94, and northbound M-10 (Lodge Freeway) to westbound I-94 will be closed.

On Sunday, expect to see additional closures on I-94. The freeway will be reduced to one lane from Oakwood Boulevard to Outer drive from 2-10 a.m. for ongoing bridge work and sign truss installation. In addition, the northbound and southbound Oakwood Blvd ramps to westbound I-94 will be closed.
