Check out the Dearborn Patch Commute Page for updates on accidents, construction and backups.

Construction on I-94 and M-39 will affect Dearborn-area drivers this week according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Starting at 11 p.m. Monday night, the eastbound I-94 exit ramp to northbound M-39 will be closed for approximately three weeks. The ramp closure is needed for crews to apply epoxy sealer on the pavement and to conduct bridge painting activities.

A detour will be posted.

Additionally, eastbound and westbound I-94 will have intermittent single lane closures over M-39 during the overnight hours this week beginning at 7:30 p.m. and ending by 5 a.m. the following morning.

Northbound and southbound M-39 will also have double-lane closures under I-94 during the same period, nightly starting at 9 p.m. and ending by 5 a.m. the following morning.

Lastly, northbound M-39 exit to Van Born Road will be closed at 9:00 p.m. Monday night and remain closed until late October for bridge repair.

A detour will be posted.
