Construction Alert: I-94, Southfield Lane Closures for Bridge Work Start Tuesday

Lane closures on I-94 and M-39 will affect Dearborn-area drivers starting Tuesday, Sept. 4, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Eastbound I-94 will have the two left lanes closed from Telegraph Road to Outer Drive from 5 a.m. until noon on Sunday for ongoing bridge work at the I-94/Southfield Freeway interchange.

The left two lanes of eastbound I-94 will be closed over M-39 (Southfield Freeway) from 7:30-11:30 p.m. Tuesday for ongoing bridge work.

Additionally, northbound and southbound M-39 will have two lanes closed under I-94 nightly  starting at 9 p.m. and ending by 5 a.m. the following morning from Tuesday until Friday for ongoing bridge work.

The eastbound Van Born Road ramp to northbound M-39 will also close at 6 a.m. Tuesday for repair. It is expected to reopen in late October.
